About Us

Anne Dekker

Resident artist

Hi, I am Anne, founder of Studio Sailor. My inspiration comes from traditional tattoos and the 1920s and 1930s. You’ll notice a lot of vintage athletes, birds and animals, women and random items like a chair, window or car in my drawings and tattoos. Both my work and portfolio have a wide range, so don’t hesitate to contact me in case you have an idea! On my Instagram, you’ll often find flash drawings that you can choose from as well. You can find me at Studio Sailor on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays.

Mo le Belle

Resident artist

Hi, my name is Mo. All my life drawing has been what I love to do most. I think it’s fantastic that I can now make drawings for people who want to wear them on their body! I like to draw on commission and I also have a lot of ready-made designs to choose from. You can find these on my instagram. I only tattoo all my designs once so you always have a unique tattoo. Feel free to discuss your wishes with me. You can find me at Studio Sailor on Mondays, Tuesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Tamar Tieleman

Junior Artist

I’m Tamar! If you spot weird tattoos on the Studio Sailor Instagram, there’s a big chance it came from my delusional mind. My tattoos best describe as illustrator style with often a touch of humour. If you have weird ideas, throw them at me! Nothing gets me more excited. You can find me at Studio Sailor on Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Saturdays.

Tom

Resident artist

Hi, my name is Tom. I mainly focus on old school tattoos. I love the history of traditional tattooing and I think the tattoos are very powerful. I find it important that a tattoo is still looking good after several years. The use of (bold) lines and a clearly visible contrast is important. “Bold will hold!” You can find me at Studio Sailor on Fridays and Sundays.

Michèle

Resident Artist

Hi, my name is Michèle. Drawing has always been a part of my life: already as a child I loved doing it and I can lose myself completely in the process. When I got my first tattoo I knew: this is it, this is what I want to do! I made the switch from illustrator & set designer to tattoo artist. I love the process of creating a unique design together with a client. I love tattooing animals or other creatures, preferably with funny details. But I’m also fond of flowers, plants, shells and other organic shapes. You can find me at Studio Sailor on Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Marti

Resident artist

Hey hey, it’s-a-me, Marti! Drawing has been therapy for me. I get lost in it and it allows me to explore my inner world. That’s why my designs represent me and the way I see things: a mix of surreal, fun, quirky and whymsical. I like to draw magical things and beings, plants and most of all animals, usually doing unusual things. I love to design customs that vibe with my clients’ energy but I also have flash designs ready to go! You can find me at Studio Sailor on Sundays and Mondays.

Olaf

Resident Artist

Hey hi, I’m Olaf! I would describe my style as “expressive.” During my time at art school, I fell in love with tattooing and wanted to combine that with my passion for expressionist art. I especially enjoy making tattoos that resemble woodcuts or paintings. I try to achieve this with strong, painterly lines and a clear use of light and shadow. I love working with still lifes, animals, and landscapes — but I’m open to anything. You can find me at Studio Sailor on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, Fridays, and Saturdays.

Sophie

Resident artist

Hey, I’m Sophie! I can best describe my work as influenced by Indian and English folk art, all painted with brush and ink. It’s lively, characterful and handmade. Tattooing is truly a form of magic, I love nothing more than dreaming up organic and tailor-made designs that look like they were always meant to be part of you. I often freehand my work, painting animals full of movement, patterns and plants that bend and frame the body as well as more abstracted ideas. I work at Studio Sailor on Saturdays and warmly welcome your ideas!

Donnie

Apprentice

Hey! I’m Donnie, Studio Sailor’s apprentice. My style tends to be playful, with a nod to the classics. I get inspired by things I come across in daily life, whether it’s on the street, and just by observing the world around me. I have a background in graphic design, but ever since I was a kid, I’ve been interested in the art of tattooing. I love drawing animals and flowers, and I’m also really excited to bring your ideas to life. You can find me at Studio Sailor on Thursdays and Sundays!
